The MBA CAT Exam Pattern has changed over the years. Earlier this exam was quite lengthy, the total number of questions varied from 150 to 180 with 3 different sections. However CAT 2011 changed its pattern of CAT by introducing sectional timings of 70 minutes per section and having only 2 sections, instead of 3 sections as was the trend in previous years' CAT.The Detailed exam structure of CAT has been discussed in the Info Zone for various Exams.

The Earlier Sessions are a Foundation course where we start with the basics and fundamental concepts. After Every Module, A separate Modular test is conducted to evaluate the preparedness of students 'Topic Wise'. The main focus of these modular tests is to check the conceptual clarity.
Here 2 to 3 Modules are clubbed together. These tests evaluate the relative performance topic wise. The number of questions, difficulty level being more as compared to that in the Modular tests.
The Sectional Tests comprise of around 10 sectional tests across Verbal, Logic Reasoning, DI, and Quantitative areas and General Awareness. These tests help to test the preparedness of the student for every section and help them analyse their relatively strong sections.
Since MBA CAT is now online, We offer 20+15 Online Mock tests simulating the actual exam pattern as per the latest exam pattern. Online exam help the student to get a feel of the Online Exam Environment. Once the students have appeared for these exams, a special Analysis Session is conducted where Speed Techniques for these questions are discussed.
After Every Module, revision sessions are conducted, which are more of 1x1 interactive sessions where the topics taught earlier are revised.
An Exhaustive study material including Classroom Handouts and Topic Wise Booklets are provided to the students. Classroom Handouts are given during the classroom session, while Topic Wise Booklets are given for the student to comprehend the Notes and Solve more problems at home.
To Encourage the Participation of students in Group Discussion/ Essay Writing and Personal Interivew, we have different competitions which are conducted at ELC to groom the students for Soft Skills. Mock GD's are conducted where students are given an individual feedback and the group as a whole gets a group feedback. These sessions are conducted in the first half duration of the course, so as to introduce the students to Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.
Essay Writing sessions are also included in these competitions since many MBA exams Like XAT and TISS test the Written communication of students via Essay Writing.
After the Written Entrance Exam, students have to Appear for Group Discussions and Personal Interviews which are a part of the selection process. Hence ample of practice is given to the students for the soft skills. The study material for these is provided separately with the latest updates and statistics which can be utilized in the Group Discussion.
